House Rules

Minimum Age Of Primary Renter

The minimum age of primary renter is 25.

  • Check-in: 4:00 PM
  • Check-out: 10:00 AM

Grill

Cleaning: If the grill is used by the guest, please be advised that the guest is responsible for cleaning the grill before departure, including the drip pan. Should the grill not be cleaned by the guest there will be a $50.00 fee applied for cleaning the grill which will be debited from the security deposit.

Propane: Please note that we do not provide propane for the grill.

If the propane tank for the grill is running low, the nearest location for a propane tank exchange is the 7-Eleven located at the corner of Gleason Parkway and Santa Barbara Blvd.

Noise

The Shell House has a strict No Noise policy.

No parties (Certain wedding related events may be allowed by special permission).

The Shell House is located in a quiet residential area. Please respect our neighbors quiet enjoyment of their property.

Please be aware that The City of Cape Coral has a specific code of ordinances to deal with noise. You can familiarize yourself with them HERE.

Pets

Dogs are allowed at The Shell House for an additional fee.

Limit: Two (2) dogs.

Non-Canine Pets: No cats please. Cat dander is a common pet allergy (suffered by over 10 million in the U.S.). Therefore, for the comfort and safety of our guests, we do not accept cats. No non-canine pets. No exceptions.

Vacinations: All dogs must be current on all vaccinations, including rabies.

Flea and Tick: All dogs must have been treated with flea and tick control before arrival.

Pet Waste: Clean up after your dog during your stay or an additional charge will be applied.

Pool: Dogs are not allowed in the pool.

Unattended Pets: Do not leave your dog in the house alone or unattended for any reason. No exceptions.

Barking: The Shell House is located in a quiet residential area. Please respect our neighbors quiet enjoyment of their property. Please be aware that The City of Cape Coral has a specific code of ordinances to deal with at-large, dangerous, or nuisance animals. You can familiarize yourself with them HERE. Specifically, in Section 4(9)(a), it states that:

  • It shall be unlawful for:
    • (1) Any animal to make unreasonable disturbing noises, including, but not limited to: barking, howling, whining, screeching or other utterances causing annoyance, discomfort or disturbance of the peace or sleep of a reasonable person(s);

Smoking

Smoking is permitted outside of the home only. No smoking in the house or in the lanai. Do not light candles inside the house.
